Sharon Cromie is the Headteacher of Wycombe High School, with responsibility for an outstanding selective girls' school. She has been using self-evaluation toolkits to bring about significant and sustained change in student outcomes in a variety of educational settings for over 12 years. Sharon is also a trained Ofsted inspector. She has been the Accounting Officer for the SCITT since its inception in 2017.
Sally is the Deputy Headteacher at Wycombe High School and has responsibility for the leadership and development of the NMAP SCITT. During her 19 years as a Deputy Headteacher, Sally has been the strategic and operational lead on a range of initiatives and developments at school, county and national level, with a proven track record of positive impact on outcomes. Prior to joining Wycombe High School, Sally held a variety of senior pastoral and curriculum leadership positions within selective and comprehensive schools. Sally has been involved in the recruitment, training, development and support of trainees and early career teachers throughout her career.
Cathy has overarching responsibility for all aspects of the programme. She leads the overall strategic development of the SCITT as an innovative, cohesive and effective educational organisation that provides high quality Initial Teacher Education. Cathy joined the SCITT in September 2020, bringing a wealth of experience gained through working in education for more than 14 years in a variety of positions in both selective and non-selective schools. Her mission is to ensure that increasing numbers of high-quality NMAP SCITT Mathematics and Physics trainees enter, thrive and remain in the teaching profession.
Charlotte has worked as a teacher of Mathematics for nearly twenty years, including teaching Further Mathematics A level. She led a large, successful Mathematics department for nine years. Charlotte has a Masters in Teacher Education and has worked in the SCITT since its inception. She leads on the development and delivery of the NMAP SCITT programme, liaising with Mentors and Hub Subject Leads nationally to ensure a coherent and structured learning experience for trainees.
Brendan is a Physics Teacher at Bolton School (Girls' Division) and was one of the first Hub Subject Leads for Physics when the SCITT began. He has worked extensively with the Institute of Physics and contributes to the design of the NMAP SCITT Physics programme.
Rachel is the Assistant Head for Professional Development and Independent Learning at Cheadle Hulme School, in our South Manchester Hub. She has been teaching since 1997 and has worked in both state and independent sectors. In her current role she has worked extensively with Manchester Metropolitan University in supporting colleagues with their Masters, designing the new independent schools PGCE equivalent course in conjunction with the Manchester Grammar School and supporting Initial Teaching Training. Rachel also has an MSc in Education Leadership and Management.
Fran has worked in education for twelve years and is a highly experienced and passionate ITE Administrator, supporting trainee teachers administratively and pastorally. She worked with a Teaching School and School Direct programme before leading the administration and finance of a SCITT in West Yorkshire for four years. Fran leads the NMAP SCITT Administration team, and also implements and maintains the online trainee portfolio software.
Victoria has worked with the NMAP SCITT since its foundation, supporting the application and initial set up of the organisation. She has also previously worked with School Direct trainees. She is a very experienced administrator, and as part of the team, deals with all aspects of trainee applications, interviews, registrations, queries and paperwork relating to qualifications, and alumni relations.
Janet has a strong administrative background, having worked for an examination institute based in High Wycombe for over eight years. As part of the Administration team, she also deals with all aspects of trainee applications, including coordinating interviews and training sessions, handling enquiries, maintaining records and screening application forms.
